Tamarside Community College, soon to
become the country’s first Marine Academy, is proud to be into their
second year supporting the Plymouth Raiders - this year sponsoring
Terry Horton. Terry regularly visits the College working with many
of our students on literacy and numeracy. He has spoken to all our
new Year 7s about aspirations, working hard and his life in
basketball. Our relationship with the Plymouth Raiders is really
strong as we are a host school for the ‘Hoops for Health’
initiative, have an ICT facility named after them and the whole team
come to promote healthy eating at the College.
